Q&A With Jenna Lawn

Q & A With Jenna Lawn | Allure Anti-Aging and Aesthetics

Jenna Lawn serves as our director of sales and marketing here at Allure Anti-Aging and Aesthetics. Her passion for cosmetic treatments has made her an asset to our team since day one, and as a member of the Allure family, she believes she has found her calling. Today, we’d like to introduce her to all our readers.

Q: What’s your favorite non-surgical treatment?

A: I love radiofrequency microneedling, coupled with intense pulsed light treatment. Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive option that has helped people rejuvenate their skin for decades. We use a cutting-edge microneedling tool called the Morpheus8. Fine needles create micro-injuries in the skin while delivering radiofrequency energy. This entire process stimulates the body’s healing response, which generates new collagen. Gradually, our patients see their skin become smoother, healthier, and younger-looking.

Microneedling often dramatically improves common skin complaints such as:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Pigmentation problems
  • Enlarged pores
  • Acne scars
  • Sun damage/discoloration
  • Stretch marks

The best part? There is little to no downtime, and the results are long-lasting. You can safely get touch-up microneedling treatments as desired for improved outcomes each time. And, if you combine this treatment with our advanced Lumecca intense pulsed light therapy, we can do a complete photorejuvenation of your skin in one to two sessions. This combination is our favorite non-surgical face makeover. Our patients rave about their results!

Q: What do you think is the most interesting thing about the human body?

A: As a breast cancer survivor, RNA is most hopeful for me. Although I had no family history of the disease and tested negative for any gene, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Today, major developments have made RNA a focus of medical research with incredibly exciting applications, such as better treatments for hemophilia, cheaper vaccines, and even a universal cancer vaccine.

While this is still a relatively young field of medicine, it shows tremendous promise, and is incredibly exciting because of its ability to help others who may get diagnosed with cancer in the future. Imagine finally finding a cure to a disease that has plagued us throughout human history. It’s so fascinating to me!

Q: What’s your favorite hobby?

A: I love binge-watching Netflix, including my current top recommendation, Dead to Me (2019). The plot of this dark comedy revolves around the stories of two grief-stricken women who meet in a support group. At first, I thought the bond between these two characters seemed strangely intimate, as they only recently shared similar experiences of loss and grief. But as the story quickly unfolds, we learn that it is the universal theme of loss and grief from past traumas that allows them to strengthen their bond, and we trust the depth of this bond even more. I even started loving some characters and hating others! As the end approached, I sat with my fingers crossed, holding my breath.

Q: What’s the strangest request you’ve ever received?

A: A patient, who will remain nameless, found out her significant other was, shall I say, entangled with her best friend. She called and made an appointment for a HydraFacial for her man. I said, “Great, we would love to meet him!” She paused and said, “Well, no. After this appointment, he won’t be my man. You won’t mind if I confront him for his ‘shenanigans’ during the treatment? I figure he can’t run.”
