5 Post-Wedding Skin Care Tips to Keep Your Glow

Blushing bride isn’t easy to achieve. For months, you’ve worked hard on your skin to achieve complexion perfection for your big day. Why let that all go to waste when the wedding bells stop ringing? We’re sharing our best post-wedding care tips so you can keep your glow long after your wedding day.

Lather on the Sunscreen

Is the sun making you look old? Sun is a major contributor to premature aging, but luckily, it’s a factor you can control. To keep your skin looking as young as possible, we recommend using sunscreen- and lots of it.

Look for a broad-spectrum sunscreen that protects from both UVA and UVB rays. We recommend using SPF 15+ for daily protection and SPF 30+ when you’re planning outdoor activities. Apply sun protection daily, rain or shine, and be generous. You need a nickel-sized dollop of sunscreen to provide adequate coverage to your face. If you’re protecting your whole body, use more.

Wash, Tone, Moisturize, and Repeat

Good skin is born from daily habits. The simple acts of cleaning your skin and providing it with the nutrients it needs can have a big impact on your appearance.

Many women get into the daily skincare habit as they prep their skin for their wedding day. Don’t let those good habits go to waste. You’ll want to keep cleansing, toning, moisturizing, and protecting your skin.

Get Your Sweat On

Working up a sweat is like taking your skin to the day spa. Sweat cleans and brightens the skin, in addition to the rich health benefits exercise offers the body. Added perk? Exercise and sweating will help you maintain your wedding body too.

Sweat is a powerhouse option for beautiful skin, but you can have too much of a good thing. Don’t leave sweat untended on your skin for too long, or it can lead to rashes and breakouts. Work up a sweat, but make sure you wash it off.

Drink Up

Hydration promotes beautiful skin, but many of us aren’t drinking enough. How much is enough? There’s some disagreement in the recommended amount of water each person needs, but your body can be your guide.
